NIGTA Presentation to Food Processors and Retailers on GM Approvals, Availability of Feed Materials and Their Impact on Food Production and Prices.

Robin Irvine, President of NIGTA welcomes the food industry representatives and the press to the NIGTA meeting. Also included is the speaker, Judith Nelson, AIC.


Judith Nelson, AIC points out that the EU is only 22% self sufficient in protein rich feed materials.


Attending the NIGTA press and industry briefing on the effects of EU approvals on the agri food industry were Michael Bell, NIFDA; Alan Hempton, Allied Bakeries; Noel Cromie, RHM Bakeries and Jason Hempton, Dale Farm.


Hugh Hamill, Stevenson and Co; Frank Foster, Linden Foods and John Cunningham, John Thompson and Sons attended the NIGTA meeting.
